Bread makers are great for anyone who loves hot fresh bread. My favorite bread to make is sourdough because it is so hard to find a good sourdough bread in the store. Most just don’t have that sour taste and with your own bread maker you can easily adjust how much sour you want. My other favorites are white bread and banana bread. I just love biting into nice fresh warm bread. Bread makers can be easy to use and require little work. I love the fact that you can add all of your ingredients at once, turn it on and a couple of hours later come back to soft fresh bread. The smell of freshly baking bread takes you back to a time when all bread was baked fresh at home. I have owned my bread maker for seven years and it has gotten a lot of use. Not only can you use them to bake bread you can also use them to make and rise dough. I use it to make pizza dough and cinnamon roll dough. It is a lot easier to use the bread maker then to try to mix, cover, and let your dough rise on your own. Again, you add your ingredients hit the rise button and come back when your dough has risen. Bread makers can cost as low as forty-five dollars. Factors to consider when buying your bread machine is what you want to use it for. If you only want to use it to make pizza dough then the lower end models will probably work just fine. If you want one that bakes large loaves of bread then you will probably have to spend more to get one that is capable of doing that. My machine was a Christmas gift and it bakes loaves up one and a half pounds. It is plenty big enough for my family of five. Even my kids enjoy creating and making their own bread. The possibilities are endless. I give them the ingredients, they add them and in about two hours they have the satisfaction of baking their own chocolate chip bread. It is a West Bend and has held up really well over the years. I like how easy it is to clean. The only part that comes apart is the mixing paddle on the inside. That makes it very convenient to clean. The loaf pan is nonstick. When the bread is done all you have to do is remove the pan and the loaf slides right out. I also use my machine to make loaves of bread to give as gifts at Christmas. It is amazing how much people appreciate receiving a freshly baked loaf of bread as a gift. Add some homemade jam and you have an instant hit. It really beats the candy, pies, or cakes most people like to give. Plus, they know that you spent the time to make them something from the heart. What they don’t know is that it was one of the easiest gifts to make.
