Bread Makers- Worth The Investment

A few summers ago, I was rummaging through community yard sales looking for the best deals I could possibly find. When I came across a brand-new looking bread maker for five dollars, I figured, why not? They are so easy to use and make delicious breads. A family member purchased one several years ago and went on a bread making frenzy. There are so many types of boxed bread mixes available at local grocery stores and they taste amazingly delicious. She first introduced me to Cinnamon Raisin bread, which was delightful served fresh out of the bread maker with a little butter. I was in awe at how disgustingly easy it was to make a fresh loaf of bread without having to go through all the trouble of physically making the dough! Use of the bread maker is quite simple. The first step is obviously choosing which type of bread you would like to bake. There are the boxed bread mixes as I mentioned previously, but there are also many recipes for you to deviate with should you choose to do so. Then, you turn on the bread maker, setting it to the temperature according to which recipe you will be following. Finally, you toss in the yeast and mix, and set the bread maker to begin the process of baking the bread. After approximately three hours of complete non-baking bliss on your part, the bread is ready for your consumption. The loaves created by the bread maker are very thick and the smell permeates throughout your house quite nicely. The bread itself stays fresh for a few days if stored appropriately. The Breadman Deluxe Rapid Bread Maker that I was lucky enough to find for five dollars is normally about ninety dollars. If you like bread and hate the physical labor of baking it, the expense is well worth it. The machine is easy to store and even easier to use! The bread mixes available at the grocery store are only a few dollars and come with all the ingredients you need: powdered mix and yeast. Boxed bread mix flavors include Cinnamon Raisin, Hawaiian, Wheat, Garlic Herb, Monkey Bread, Rye, Honey Wheat, and so much more. There are also a variety of specialty shops and websites that sell mixes for machines and provide recipes. Though the Breadman Deluxe proves to be one of the better, more expensive bread makers, there are many cheaper alternatives available to customers. Sunbeam’s 2-lb Programmable Breadmaker is listed new on Amazon for $54.95 and boasts a 4-star rating. Zojirushi offers 1-Pound-Loaf Mini Breadmaker (5-Star Rating), as well as a Traditional Home Bakery Breadmaker (4-Star Rating) which range in price from $166 to $215 on Amazon.com. Needless to say, there are a variety of machines available depending on the price you are willing to spend and what types of options you are looking for in a bread maker. The best advice I have is to shop around before you make a purchase, and do a little research to find out what product is the best for you. Regardless of which bread maker you wind up buying, enjoy the delicious smell and taste that you will most certainly be encountered with. Of course, don’t forget to share with your friends and family!
